How to Get the Juggernaut Suit in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Best Strategy

If you’ve been spending any time playing the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you’re probably familiar with the Juggernaut. Calling in this elusive perk has been a goal of mine for some time and I wanted to share what finally helped me pull it off, not once, but over and over.

Whether you’re just trying to flex on your friends online or trying to complete the Season 1 Level 154 “Juggernaut” challenge, I’ve got a few tips that made this seemingly impossible task into a very repeatable and surefire strategy.

There are 3 ways to unlock the Juggernaut, which require a mix of skill and luck (or both):

1.     Get a x15 killstreak (15 kills, no deaths) – All skill, but a little strategy goes a long way

2.     Call in a Supply Drop (x4 killstreak) and have it drop randomly – Very rare, mostly luck

3.     Steal someone else’s suit – The juggernaut suit is airdropped in as a supply drop style perk. If you’re lucky enough to kill someone while they’re waiting on their suit, you might just get a chance to steal it. – Extremely rare, all luck (but possible, almost happened to me once)

I tried methods 2 and 3 for a long time because I thought that getting a x15 killstreak was out of my reach, but results were completely unfruitful. Yesterday, I decided to dump the luck options and focus in on the skill-based method, which is what we’ll be exploring here.

I’ll start off with a little disclaimer, I’ve gotten pretty skilled at this game, but I am nowhere near the top echelon of players that can just crank out a x15 killstreak on command. Because of this, I came up with a strategy to get to 15 kills that has worked time and time again. Put simply, once I started employing this method, I called in the Juggernaut 4 times in the first 24 hours of using it.

Step 1: Pick the right equipment

Call of Duty®_ Modern Warfare®_20200110160154.jpg

·      Assault Rifle or SMG as primary for quick and efficient long-mid range firefights

·      Shotgun as secondary for excellent CQB situations

·      Claymores (more protection when you’re holed up)

Step 2: Pick the right perks

·      Overkill (Allows two primary weapons. Helpful but not required)

·      Kill Chain (Allows killstreak kills to count towards more killstreaks, required)

·      Amped (Allows quick swap between primary weapons. Helpful but not required)

Step 3: Pick the right killstreaks

·      VTOL (8 kills)

·      Support Helo (11 kills)

·      Juggernaut Suit (15 kills)

Step 4: Bringing it all together

Once you have everything set correctly, the strategy goes somewhat like this – you’ll need to get yourself to a x8 killstreak on your own, after which point, you’ll use killstreaks to do the rest of the heavy lifting as you remain safely tucked away somewhere. While you can use any combination of killstreaks to do this for you, a lot of them require you to go “out of body” to control them, leaving you completely vulnerable in the meantime. The killstreaks we chose above take longer to get to, but they are highly effective and allow you to stay present “in body” to move and protect yourself. While these killstreaks work best in open-air maps, I was able to complete this without much trouble even in Vacant (which is nearly all indoors).

Side note: The game mode can also help with this strategy. I’ve found great success in objective capture modes where traffic is less sporadic and you have a better chance of understanding where the enemy will be moving to/from. Camping in TDM is considered bad form, but flag defense in Domination/Hardpoint/Headquarters is a crucial part of the defense strategy and can lead to some excellent killstreak opportunities, all while playing the objective and keeping your teammates happy (your opponents will be pissed, but that means you’re doing your job right).

Your goals are:

·      Get to x8 killstreak (this is the hardest part)

·      Find a safe place to hole up (cover on 3 sides)

·      Call in the VTOL (have it hover near you for extra protection)

·      Net 3 kills

·      Call in the Support Helo (no location specification needed)

·      Net 4 kills

·      Juggernaut is unlocked

·      Find an area open to the sky that is well covered and away from enemy activity

·      Call in the Juggernaut suit

*WARNING: When you do this, everyone will be alerted that the Juggernaut has been called in and there will be large plumes of green smoke coming off your drop indicator. At this point, you will need to stay alive and protect your location for about 20-30 seconds as the suit is air-dropped in. IF YOU DIE, ANYONE CAN STEAL IT FROM YOU so pick your drop zone carefully.

·      Protect the drop site

·      Laugh as you listen to heavy metal music and thrash through the map as the almighty Juggernaut

Here are some videos showing the whole process come together. As I said earlier, I was able to call the Juggernaut in 4 times yesterday alone after putting this strategy to use:

As you can see, this strategy still requires some patience and skill but a x8 killstreak is an attainable task for most players if they practice enough, whereas a x15 is completely absurd without extreme skill and planning everything out properly. Employ this strategy and with a little practice and patience, you’ll be mowing down fools online and quoting everyone’s favorite X-Men villain: “I’M THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!”
